Functionality of the SSB® System

 

The SSB® Lanyard Set (via ferrata) guaranties continuously at least one karabiner locked (LOCK) on a secure spot (i.e. steel cable).

In order to pass an obstacle (i.e. a pole in a ropes course), the unlocked SSB® karabiner can be taken off the steel cable...

 

...and hooked in the next secure spot like a steel cable or a ladder.

A SSB® tweezle® (green) is preinstalled at every secure access spot in the ropes course.

Now the SSB® tweezle® must be inserted into the tweezle®hole of the SSB® karabiner.

 

The SSB® tweezle® lockes the SSB® karabiner. For a moment, both SSB® karabiners are locked.

Now the signal karabiner locked on a secure spot is being sent to the other SSB® karabiner. This causes the unlocking of the other SSB® karabiner...

 

...which now also can be taken off its origin spot and hooked to the next steel cable.

The SSB® System not only provides permanent securement in ropes courses, still it allows unrestricted use of any ropes course constellation.
